Community Outreach

At C.A. Jones Inc., we make it a priority to participate in community outreach in the cities to which we provide quality homes. Whether it be neighborhood organizations or local chapters of national organizations, we are proud to support people who call Southern Illinois home. This investment, whether it’s monetary, physical or emotional, is necessary to build strong neighborhoods that anyone would be happy to call home. Here are just a few of the ways we’re reaching out to the community.

Supporting the Illinois Center for Autism (ICA) ICA is a nonprofit, community-based mental health treatment and educational agency dedicated to serving people with autism in Southern Illinois. Their mission is “Educating and serving children and adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to help them achieve their highest level of independence in their home, school and community.” Since January 2021, for every home that we sell, we give a monetary donation to ICA. We also provide coupons to homeowners to buy a meal from Pasta Fare in Fairview Heights, which provides employment opportunities for ICA students. Finally, our team takes time to visit the ICA campus to provide hands-on assistance with their events.

Providing Food and Futures through Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE)  Some of our team members are alumni of SIUE, and as a company so close to a large university, we wanted to find ways to give back. Each year, we award two scholarships, one to a student in the School of Business and one to a student in the School of Engineering. This gives students a chance to continue their education in a field that our own employees have studied. For the past four years, we have had the honor of awarding students these scholarships during the spring semester. We also support SIUE’s Cougar Cupboard, a form of community outreach that helps provide people affected by homelessness with food and basic hygiene items. All the items in Cougar Cupboard are donated, and we give every homeowner a can light for every 50 cans of food they donate.

Building Homes with Habitat for Humanity This year, we have the honor of working with the O’Fallon chapter of Habitat for Humanity, another way in which we provide quality homes to families in the area. In 2022, we will help build two new homes with the organization, furthering our commitment to community outreach and the neighborhoods we work, live and build in. Community outreach is important for all companies to participate in, and it’s no different for us, especially given our commitment to investing in neighborhoods in Southern Illinois, both by building quality homes and by building quality communities.
